For those who already know this album, you know what you're getting into. For those who don't, you're in for it. This is the first release from Kool Keith's alter ego "Dr. Octagon". This whole thing lyrically is just off on some extraterrestrial, gynecologist shit. Keith brings Dan The Automator to produce this album, so you know the beats are going to be just as crazy. Kool Keith is crazy, no seriously, he did Mankind's theme song from WWF, let alone spent time up in a mental house. This is one of the most proclaimed underground hip hop albums of all time, but you'd never hear some sci-fi flow about Star Wars and gynecologists on the radio. Sir Menelik has an appearance under the alter ego "Chewbacca Uncircumsized" on a couple tracks that really add to this album. I'm not here to candy coat it like some pussy Pitchfork review, this whole album is fucked up. This is an acid trip with smart, spastic lyrics with sci-fi sampled beats that will have you asking "What the fuck?". Something your snap-beat r&b friends definitely won't pick up on.download
